One week to Grand Fall Tasting...and vote in our poll!

Welcome to Cork’s weekly newsletter. We’re just 9 days away from our 7th Annual Grand Holiday Wine Tasting. It is on Saturday November 12th from 2 to 5 PM. I’m almost done with the lineup, and we should have about 85 wines and a few liquor items for you to sample. It’s a little later than in past years, and we’ve gone back to Saturday afternoons. We were a bit slower at the last big wine tasting we did on a Thursday night, and decided we’d go to Saturdays like the big beer events. This week’s poll question is about which day you’d prefer the big tastings to be on. You can go to the blog here www.corksfinewinenewsletter.blogspot.com and vote for your favorite day.

We originally had Miguel from L. Knife scheduled for our “Beer of the Month” beer tasting tonight. Unfortunately, he is a little under the weather so we are going to re-schedule that tasting for next Thursday the 10th of November. Be sure to check the website for upcoming beer tastings with Victory…Berkshire Brewing…Newport Storm…Quality Seasonal Beers…and Sam Adams. We don’t have a wine tasting for this Friday night as we get ready for next week’s big event. I have a bunch lined up for the rest of the year including a Holiday Edition of “The Wrap” girls on December 16th. And I’m still chasing Bill “Spaceman” Lee for a tasting of his wine before the holidays are over.

It’s been kind of depressing times on the local sports scene lately. The Pats secondary looked dreadful last week against the Steelers. Let’s hope they can rebound at home against the G-Men this week. Looks like the Bruins may have finally put the Stanley Cup hangover to rest with their performance in the last few games. And does anybody really miss the NBA?? I hope you all enjoy the beautiful fall weekend and we’ll see you soon.

Robert
