Come see what's new for fall

Welcome to Cork’s weekly newsletter. Quite a bit going on here at Cork’s as we taste new wines for the big fall show and holiday season. We also have tons of Autumn beers still arriving and we’re replenishing all your favorite fall beers. Over the next couple of weeks we tend to run out of the more popular ones, so be sure to stop in grab your favorites before they are all gone.

Speaking of new beers, Josh is going to be sampling some brand new canned microbrews that we just got in from British Columbia, Canada. Tonight’s tasting (Thursday) is from 4:30 to 7:30 and will feature Red Racer Lager, Pale Ale, and IPA. These beers are brand new to the states and this market, and believe it or not are distributed from 1 of our small wine wholesalers. The packaging is very eye catching with a hot redhead riding a red bike, and the beers are extremely good. So we’re dressing Josh up in a red wig and throwing him on a bike for this tasting so you have to come down to see that! If that wasn’t enough, we have Woodstock Autumn Ale Brew to finish this tasting. This New Hampshire Ale has is flavored with apple and cinnamon, and tastes just like grammas apple pie. As always we will take 10% off any of the beers you taste that night.

We have the return of the Tommy Bolini show for this Friday nights wine tasting from 4 to 7 PM. He has an excellent lineup for you to sample starting with Can Feixes from Spain. This is a blended white wine with great minerality that pairs great with most seafood. From there we go to Australia for Penfolds Thomas Hyland Riesling. Cinnamon, apple and citrus flavors make this an excellent fall wine. Off to California for Parker Station Pinot Noir. I know nothing about this wine except Tommy says it’s good and the back label says “The best Pinot Noir you can afford to drink daily”….hmmm…we shall see. The last wine is C.M.S. from Hedges out of the Columbia Valley in Washington State. I had this wine about 5 years ago when I toured the winery, and it’s a delicious blend of Cabernet/Merlot/Syrah. Tommy will end the show with a yummy Macadamia Nut Liqueur from Trader Vic’s. This comes in a really cool package and is a perfect fall liqueur that you simply must try.

I hope everybody enjoys the 1st official fall weekend and we’ll see you soon.

Robert
