California Wine Trip Tasting with Megan and Kat

This is going to be brief as we are a bit shorthanded and there's lots of stuff to do. How about them Bruins and Celtics?! Even the Sox have crawled back to .500 after a dismal start.

Sports references behind us, let's talk about tonight's (Thursday) beer tasting from 4:30 to 7:00 pm. Our good friend Miguel from L. Knife will be here to taste you on the Troegs lineup out of Pennsylvania. We've these beers for a few months now and they are doing very well. He will be sampling the Hopback Amber Ale, Dreamweaver Wheat Ale, Pale Ale, and Sunrise Pils. All of these beers are available in 6 packs as well as a cool looking Anthology 12 bottle sampler case. As with all our tastings, you get 10% off anything you try that night.

Unfortunately Bob from Boston Wine will not be able to attend this Friday night's wine tasting so Megan and Kat are going to pinch hit and do their "California Wine Trip" tasting. They were out in Napa and Sonoma a few months back and have stories to tell and wines from places they visited to sample you on.

They will start off with Mumm Napa Cuvee M Sparking Wine. I know they are big 'Sparker' fans as they also visited Korbel on their trip. Next up is Honig Sauvignon Blanc which is one of the greenest wineries in all of Napa. You're invited to join them for for Menage a Trois Chardonnay next. Unlike the others in the Menage lineup, this is all one varietal...Chardonnay. But to keep with the Trois part of the name, from 3 distinct regions in California.

The next 2 are from Alexander Valley Vineyards...one of my favorite wineries as well. They will tempt you with Temptation Zinfandel and AVV Merlot. At the end of their adventure, they spent a couple of days in San Francisco, and from what I hear, their favorite tour of all was Anchor Steam Brewery. So what the heck, let's mix in an Anchor Bock beer to finish off the night and their excellent adventure.
