Looking for part time help

Welcome to Cork’s weekly newsletter. I don’t know about you but I’m thinking the Sox need to bring out lil Joshua Sacco before every game with the evil empire. For those who still haven’t seen his “Miracle” speech you have to check it out on YouTube. Now we just got to get him to The Garden for Celtics and hopefully Bruins playoff runs. I’m thinking they should probably keep him away from the Masters, Tiger may get the wrong idea when he shouts “screw em” !

OK…sports references out of the way, let’s talk a little bit about what’s going on here at Cork’s. As we head into the busy summer months we find ourselves short on stock people and cashiers. We are looking for a few of you who are looking for some part-time work. You must be able to work nights and some weekend shifts. You can come in the store and ask for an application, or print 1 out from the website and bring it into the store.

We don’t have any beer or wine tastings lined up for this week. But I do have 3 beer tastings lined up starting next week, and hope to fill up every Thursday night right through the summer. Miguel will be here April 15th for a “Taste like Belgian” sampling featuring Allagash and Ommegang. We have a special guest on 4/22. Martha Holley-Paquette is the co-founder and owner of Pretty Things, and will be here to show her eclectic brews. We also have Troegs lined up for 4/29 as well. I will list these on the website (corksfinewine.com) and as I get more booked, I will keep you posted for our Thirsty Thursday beer tastings.

We will probably do wine tastings every other week in the summer months (or more if the attendance is good and we can justify it with our suppliers). I have Mike from Hangtime here next Friday 4/16. Bob from Boston Wine on 4/30. And John from Trio Wines booked for 5/14. Hmmmm…where the heck has Tommy Bolini been? All tastings - both beer and wine - are from 4:30 to 7 PM unless otherwise noted. And as always you can take 10% off any beer or wine you taste that evening. Since I already referenced YouTube, there is 1 more wine related video I want you to check out. It’s so funny they even spoofed it on Family Guy. Have a great weekend.

Robert
