Celebrate Earth Day with some earth friendly beers and wines

Welcome to Cork's weekly newsletter. What an amazing week it has been for the local teams. From Darnell (I'm lovin' it) McDonald's homer and walk-off heroics to the KG-less Celtics squashing the Heat capped by a thrilling 2 OT game winning goal from Satan! And if that wasn't enough, the 3 day NFL draft kicks off today with the 1st round selections. And let us not forget Earth Day today. We always try to be green here at Cork's year round. We almost always recyle, have a huge selection of Organic and sustainable farming wines and have tons of local beers and wines that get to your shelves quicker and leave a smaller carbon footprint.

Keeping with the Earth Day theme, we have Martha, the owner and founder of Pretty Things here tonight (Thursday) frm 4:30 to 7:00 for a local beer tasting. These Artisanal beers are currently being brewed right here in Westport at the old Buzzards Bay and new Just Beer facility. These are hard to get, semi-cult beers that always sell out quickly and are made in limited batches. The 3 beers we have in house and will be tasting are Jack D'or Saison Amercain, Saint Botolph's Town Rustic Dark Ale, and Baby Tree Quadruple with Dried Plums. We will give 10% off any Pretty Thing, tonight only, so stop by on this Earth Day and help support the local brewers.

We don't have an official wine tasting scheduled for this Friday night. But I'm thinking of keeping the Earth Day theme and cracking open a local and organic wine or 2. So, if there is one you have been waiting to try, stop in early and we will open it up for all to taste. We do have Bob from Boston Wine making his Friday debut next week And we also have Miguel here doing the Troegs lineup out of Pennsylvania. Have a great weekend everybody!

Robert
